My Internet Stat Porn Monthly Report

Apologies for the title but I couldn't resist re-creating what Andrew Reeves does with his blog in compiling a monthly report on the usage of his site. http://andrewrunning.blogspot.com/

I've always been a bit of a 'statto' or 'statt-oid' so here is my very own monthly stat porn figures for anyone who is remotely interested in who reads my little blog.

A new beginning
I re-began my blog after an 18 month gap on September 3rd so I've pretty much got a whole month under my belt.

This first monthly summary of my visitor stats is according to an amalgam of google analytics (started up on September 20th) and to fill the void for the earlier part of the month, the more basic 'blogger stats' that comes direct from the blog site itself and also 'Flag Counter'. From October onwards, I'll merely use google analytics.

Here come the stats...
Last month I had at least 597 absolute unique visitors to my blog (not accounting for the first 3rd of the month).

During September I wrote 30 blog posts. The busiest day on my blog last month was Saturday 11th September, with blog posts surrounding the demise of 'Big Brother', the Rev Terry Jones' Koran bashing exploits in America and the Last Night of the Proms.

As an useful guide, from the final third of the month alone, 20.06% of the visitors were through direct traffic, 49.40% from referring sites and 30.54% via search engines.

My top 10 referring sites for the last month were:
1. Facebook
2. Lib Dem Blogs
3. Google.co.uk
4. Lib Dem Voice
5. m.facebook.com (?)
6. Google.com
7. Google.ca (Canada!)
8. Anders Hanson's Blog (Many thanks to Anders)
9. touch.facebook.com (?)

5. Conference Blog: Day 6 (Wednesday - Goodbye)
6. What went wrong for Obama?
7. Conference Blog: Day 5 (Tuesday)
8. Ed Miliband - Labour's Wrong Choice
9. Conference Blog: Day 2 (Saturday)

  1. touch.facebook.com and m.facebook.com are the mobile versions of facebook incase the '(?)' indicated that you were unsure of the origin. touch.facebook.com is the iPhone (or any touchscreen phone) browser site which I may have used once or twice.

Have you thought about google adds and making some dough through this?
